Twisted Ponies

Step 1-  Spray hair with water or detangling spray. (Always!) Make an ear to ear part. Not to far back on head.

Step 2-  Part hair in the middle and then make two small ponies on the left and two small ponies on the right.

Step 3- Take the two ponies on the left and cross them twice so they make a twist. Have her hold them while you do the next step.

Step 4-  (Sorry, I got a little distracted and forgot to take a picture of this next step) I will explain it.
Make a small pony directly behind one of the front ones and attach the hair from the front pony into the back pony. Keep the twisted piece of hair you are adding a little loose.(Have her still hold the other piece of hair)
Then make a small pony directly behind the other pony and attach the hair from the front pony to that pony.
Here is a picture of what it should look like after these two steps.

*** Repeat the above steps with the two ponies on the right side.

Step 5-  Make two longer ponies on each side of their head so that elastics match up with the back ponies from the twisted part.

Step 6-  Pull the rest of the hair into a pony tail, bun, or pig tails!

Inside out ponies

Step 1-  Spray hair down with water or detangling spray. Part hair from one ear across head to the other ear.

Step 2-  Make a diagonal part from left to right. Then divide left side of part into a triangle and secure with elastic.  Place your comb tail (or hair flip tool, if you have one) through the pony tail, under the elastic.  Separate hair with fingers and flip the pony up through the part and pull it down through the bottom.

Step 3- Make another triangle pony with the remaining hair on the left side.  Part the pony with comb and flip it through like shown above.

Step 4-  Move to the right side of head.  Make a triangle part and secure with an elastic. Repeat above steps and flip pony through.

Step 5- Make another pony with remaining hair on right side.  Flip through. You should end up with 4 ponies.

Step 6- Part the remaining hair down the middle.  Take the hair from the top left pony and comb it into a pig tail with the hair on the left side.  Leaving the far left pony out.  Repeat on the right side.  Attach only the hair from the center ponies in with the pig tails.

Step 7- Cross the two side ponies and attach them to the opposite pig tail. (You can braid the ponies also, if the hair is long enough to reach)  Attach crossed hair to pig tails.
Hairspray, hairspray, hairspray!!!
